Grandma's Molasses (unsulphered) and the other ingredients needed
Cookie dough will be stiff. Cover and chill for 1 - 2 hours or overnight to make rolling out easier
Using about 1/4 of dough at a time, roll out on lightly floured breadboard, keeping remaining dough chilled until ready to use
Baked cookies are firm but not overly brown around edges
When cookie frosting is dry wrap in plastic cling film. Depending on weight/size of cookie, choose elastic cord or string. Use large-eye needle for heavier cord/twine, gently poke through top from front to back through wrap and cookie; tie.
Ready to hang, large ginger boy has medium stretch cord; house has twine tie and small ginger boy has fine elastic stretch thread.
