- Cook the following in 1/3 c. bacon fat:
- Mix: 1/2 teaspoon sugar 1 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon celery Dash of pepper
- Gradually stir in 3/4 c. water and 1/2 c. vinegar. Cook, stirring, till mix boils. Boil 1 minute. Pour over potatoes. Add in bacon pcs. Cover and let stand till ready to serve. Heat over warm water. Serve garnished with bacon and chives.
