Рецепт Going to BlogHer 2010 with my sponsor, SOYJOY
This year I’ve been traveling a great deal, mostly by airplane or car. If there is one thing I’ve learned, it’s to always have food with me. One of my favorite snacks to take along are SOYJOY bars.
Why? Not only do they stand up to a lot of punishment in my purse or backpack, but they don’t melt if I leave them in the car. Other bars, usually the ones with chocolate, melt and morph into a scary and not very delicious blobs. Cereal bars fall apart or get smashed. Fruit gets bruised, and yogurt and sandwiches have to be kept cool. On my way to BlogHer 2010
SOYJOY bars are the perfect travel companion, which is why I’m thrilled to be partnering with them again when I go to BlogHer 2010 this week. (They were also my sponsor to BlogWorld Expo last year, which you can read about at This Mama Cooks! Reviews.) Yes, I’ll be one of 2,400 bloggers in New York City this weekend running around to parties, sessions, and meet ups with friends and work colleagues.
Since I’ll be on the run at BlogHer 2010, I’ll need to keep a few SOYJOY bars in my bag to nosh on between meals or if I’m running late to dinner. If you’re in need of a snack, you can drop by booth #2010 to try SOYJOY for yourself.
Also, each day of the expo, SOYJOY will conduct a random drawing to give away two $100 Amazon gift cards and copies of Cynthia Sass’s Flat Belly Diet and Jackie Newgent’s Big Green Cookbook signed by the authors. Both are terrific books. I reviewed Flat Belly Diet and featured several Flat Belly recipes here at This Mama Cooks! And here’s a Beet Carpaccio Salad recipe from Big Green Cookbook. SOYJOY – now better than ever
Yes, I’ve heard the complaints that SOYJOY bars are dry and don’t taste all that great. (I get it, which is why I like a bar with a cup of hot green tea.) SOYJOY’s been listening to consumers and have made their new SOYJOY bars lighter, with a moister texture and an enhanced fruitier flavor. It’s more joyful than ever! By September, SOYJOY’s current flavors - Blueberry, Strawberry, Apple Walnut, Berry and Mango Coconut - will hit stores nationwide in their lighter and fruitier forms. And, by October, the new lighter, moister Banana SOYJOY will be available nationwide.
As always, SOYJOY is completely free of trans fats, hydrogenated oils, artificial colors and flavors, preservatives, and chemical additives. They’re made from ground whole soybeans, including all of the nutrients found in soy such as high-quality protein, fiber and isoflavones. SOYJOY uses no genetically modified (GMO) soy.
SOYJOY bars are not meant to be a meal replacement bar, which is why they don’t have as much protein and fiber as other bars on the market. Yet at 130 to 140 calories per serving, with 4 to 5 grams of protein and 3 to 4 grams of fiber, they’re just right for a between meal snack. They’re also gluten free unlike many other snack bars, and several varieties are not made with nuts for those of you with allergies. (If you’re very sensitive to nuts, please note that they are not made in a nut free environment.) Learn more about SOYJOY
