,%20I%20talked%20about%20losing%20weight%20as%20one%20of%20my%20goals%20for%20the%20new%20year.%20No,%20not%20resolutions--I%20tend%20to%20break%20those%20within%20days%20of%20making%20them.%20haha%20There%20are%20so%20many%20diets%20out%20there%20these%20days%20but%20a%20lot%20seem%20to%20have%20one%20thing%20in%20common--doing%20without%20certain%20foods.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20know%20I%20could%20never%20stick%20to%20any%20regimens%20that%20cut%20out%20carbs.%20I%20simply%20love%20bread%20and%20pasta%20waaaaaaaaaaaay%20too%20much.%20:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThen%20there%20are%20ones%20that%20are%20strictly%20veggies%20and%20fruits.%20I%20love%20fresh%20produce%20as%20much%20as%20anybody,%20but%20tell%20me%20that's%20all%20I%20can%20eat%20and%20I%20won't%20even%20make%20it%20to%20breakfast--what%20could%20replace%20my%20filling%20oatmeal%20or%20quick'n'easy%20MultiGrain%20Cheerios?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOr%20what%20about%20the%20ones%20that%20eliminates%20dairy%20products?%20Seriously?%20I've%20had%20a%20coffee%20yogurt%20a%20day%20since%20sometime%20back%20in%20middle%20school.%20(And%20now%20I've%20passed%20that%20on%20to%20my%20oldest.%20:)%20)%20And%20I%20couldn't%20live%20without%20cheese,%20or%20creamer%20in%20my%20coffee,%20or%20any%20of%20that%20yummy%20stuff.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOf%20course%20there%20is%20the%20newest%20detox%20thing.%20I%20looked%20that%20up%20out%20of%20curiosity--man,%20that%20is%20strict.%20I%20would%20have%20to%20make%202%20separate%20grocery%20shopping%20trips:%20one%20for%20me%20on%20the%20diet,%20and%20one%20for%20my%20kids%20still%20eating%20normal%20food.%20That%20would%20get%20expensive%20fast.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBut%20let's%20say%20I%20do%20one%20of%20those,%20then%20how%20is%20my%20body%20going%20to%20react%20after%20the%20diet%20and%20I%20start%20eating%20the%20%22forbidden%22%20foods%20again?%20And%20then%20is%20the%20weight%20going%20to%20suddenly%20appear%20again?%20That%20seems%20kind%20of%20tricky.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDon't%20get%20me%20wrong,%20I%20understand%20that%20any%20diet%20is%20going%20to%20be%20difficult%20and%20present%20its%20own%20set%20of%20obstacles%20but%20I%20needed%20a%20diet%20that%20would%20fit%20into%20my%20life%20(instead%20of%20fitting%20my%20life%20into%20a%20diet)%20and%20not%20cost%20me%20a%20fortune%20and%20that%20wouldn't%20disrupt%20my%20kids%20eating%20either.%20That%20lead%20me%20back%20to%20a%20program%20I%20have%20used%20before.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EA%20few%20years%20back,%20when%20my%20wedding%20date%20was%20in%20the%20near%20future,%20I%20decided%20I%20could%20do%20with%20losing%20a%20few%20pounds.%20So%20I%20signed%20up%20for%20Weight%20Watchers.%20And%20I%20did%20lose%20weight.%20But%20then%20I%20just%20got%20too%20busy%20after%20the%20wedding%20and%20simply%20forgot%20to%20keep%20up%20with%20it.%20The%20point,%20though,%20is%20that%20it%20worked.%20So%20now%20that%20I've%20decided%20to%20get%20down%20to%20what%20is%20considered%20a%20healthy%20weight%20for%20me,%20I'm%20going%20back%20to%20what%20I%20know%20works.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20joined%20Weight%20Watchers%20Online%20at%20the%20beginning%20of%20January%20this%20year%20and%20am%20proud%20to%20say%20that%20I%20am%2025%20pounds%20lighter!%20The%20challenge%20I%20have%20found%20is%20calculating%20point%20values%20at%20dinnertime.%20I've%20found%20it%20difficult%20to%20create%20meals%20that%20are%20tasty,%20similar%20to%20what%20we%20ate%20before,%20and%20still%20not%20blow%20our%20daily%20points%20allowance.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI'm%20going%20to%20pause%20here%20for%20a%20moment%20to%20draw%20attention%20to%20the%20'we's%20in%20the%20last%20sentence.%20As%20a%20show%20of%20support,%20my%20husband%20is%20doing%20Weight%20Watchers%20with%20me.%20:)%20I%20can't%20tell%20you%20how%20much%20it%20helps%20having%20someone%20do%20it%20with%20me%20and%20also%20being%20concerned%20about%20the%20points%20and%20helping%20figure%20things%20out.%20It's%20been%20awesome--I%20really%20don't%20think%20I%20would%20have%20had%20as%20much%20success%20as%20I've%20had%20so%20far%20without%20his%20support.%20:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20now%20you%20know%20what%20I%20have%20been%20up%20to%20for%20the%20most%20part%20since%20January.%20I'm%20going%20to%20try%20to%20start%20getting%20better%20with%20my%20blogging%20and%20will%20use%20the%20recipes%20I%20come%20up%20with%20for%20Weight%20Watchers%20as%20a%20place%20to%20start.%20:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhat%20have%20you%20all%20been%20up%20to?%20Any%20resolutions%20or%20goals%20still%20going%20strong?%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
