- Pour wine into a Dutch oven or possibly kettle. Tie cardamom seeds, orange rind, cloves, and cinnamon stick in layers of cheesecloth; add in to kettle. Cover.
- Heat slowly to boiling; simmer 10 min. Add in almonds, raisins, and sugar cubes; stir vigorously. Simmer smother 5 min, stirring often to dissolve sugar. Add in aquavit; ladle while warm into mugs with a few almonds and raisins in each.
