%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EJust%20so%20you%20know,%20I%20love%20their%20first%20cookbook,%20Tate's%20Bake%20Shop%20Cookbook%20so%20much%20that%20I%20personally%20ordered%20the%20Baking%20with%20Friends%20Cookbook,%20using%20the%2020%25%20discount%20code:%20mom13%20which%20is%20good%20through%205/12/13%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDon't%20hesitate%20to%20use%20the%20discount%20code%20yourself,%20on%20any%20purchases%20made%20between%20now%20and%205/12/13.%20Mother's%20day%20is%20coming%20up%20fast.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYou%20know%20what%20else%20is%20coming%20up%20fast?%20Summer.%20Its%20just%20around%20the%20corner.%20Gardens%20are%20happening.%20Which%20leads%20us%20to%20food.%20Some%20of%20you%20may%20not%20know,%20but%20I%20plant%20a%20small%20city%20garden%20just%20about%20every%20spring.%20I'd%20love%20to%20have%20a%20winter%20garden%20too%20but%20when%20I%20leave%20for%20work,%20it's%20dark.%20When%20I%20get%20home%20from%20work,%20it's%20dark.%20We%20don't%20get%20much%20rain%20in%20Los%20Angeles.%20Do%20you%20know%20how%20hard%20it%20is%20to%20water%20a%20garden%20in%20the%20dark?%20Me%20neither.%20Cuz%20I've%20never%20done%20it.%20Which%20is%20why%20I've%20never%20had%20a%20winter%20garden.%20I'd%20have%20to%20water%20the%20damn%20thing%20in%20the%20dark.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhich%20brings%20me%20to%20my%20other%20issue.%20During%20the%20winter,%20I%20get%20a%20lot%20of%20weeds%20in%20my%20garden%20area.%20It's%20a%20lot%20of%20work%20pulling%20those%20weeds%20and%20getting%20the%20dirt%20ready%20for%20precious%20little%20baby%20plants%20that%20will%20feed%20us%20throughout%20the%20summer%20season%20and%20often%20times%20into%20the%20fall%20(and%20early%20winter).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENot%20long%20ago,%20it%20was%20time%20to%20tackle%20those%20weeds.%20It's%20hard%20work.%20Back%20breaking.%20Neck%20sweating.%20Arm%20fatiguing.%20Thirst%20inducing.%20Hard%20work.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIce%20tea%20is%20a%20great%20thirst%20quencher.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20you%20happen%20to%20have%20a%20really%20good,%20special%20ice%20tea%20waiting%20for%20you...it%20could%20be%20very%20motivating.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOr%20it%20could%20be%20very%20distracting....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOn%20this%20particularly%20warm%20day,%20I%20had%20big%20plans.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBut%20silly%20me%20threw%20together%20a%20nice%20batch%20of%20Ginger%20Peach%20Tea%20Sangria%20with%20some%20very%20soothing,%20cooling,%20enticing%20flavors.%20As%20I%20sat%20in%20my%20little%20corner%20of%20the%20backyard,%20sipping%20this%20refreshing%20drink....I%20contemplated%20those%20weeds....and%20figured...well,%20whether%20the%20glass%20is%20half%20empty%20or%20half%20full...the%20weeds%20are%20still%20there.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20can%20wait%20as%20I%20plan%20my%20attack%20for%20another%20day.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEventually%20I%20got%20to%20those%20weeds%20pulled.%20But%20not%20that%20day.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20was%20too%20busy%20enjoying%20my%20drink.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECombine%20all%20of%20the%20ingredients%20and%20allow%20to%20sit,%20refrigerated,%20over%20night.%20Spoon%20out%20the%20ginger%20and%20pour%20the%20sangria%20into%20the%20saved%20bottles%20(plus%20one%20or%202%20more)%20using%20a%20funnel.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20you%20really%20like%20ginger....take%20that%20chunk%20of%20sangria%20soaked%20ginger%20and%20squeeze%20the%20liquid%20right%20into%20the%20bottles...and%20see%20what%20happens.....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EShall%20I%20say.....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20Sangria%20is%20Wicked%20Good!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
