- Partially heat chocolate over hot water. Remove and stir rapidly till melted. Cool. Cream sugar and butter. Add in large eggs, flavoring and buttermilk. Sift together flour, soda, salt and add in to butter; mix well. Blend in chocolate. Pour into well greased and lightly floured 9" tube pan. Bake in slow 300 degree oven for about 1 1/2 hrs. Remove from pan while hot. Place under tightly fitting cover till cooled.GLAZE: Heat chocolate and butter in water over low heat. Fold in 10X sugar. Blend; fold in vanilla. Put glaze on cake after cake is cooled.
