- Beat large eggs, add in sugar and mix well. Add in butter. Beat till fluffy. Mix flour with soda, salt and spices. Add in 1 cup flour to pecans and raisins to coat well. Fold in applesauce. Add in 2 cups flour and mix well. If you think the mix needs more flour add in 1/2 cup at a time.Bake at 350 degrees in 4 layers. Approximately 20 to 25 min.
- Heat butter, add in sugar, beat well while adding lowfat milk. Spread between layers and on top of cake. Leave sides unfrosted.This makes a huge cake and is best baked a day or possibly so before using.
