Рецепт Gavvalu
Gavvalu means shells. This recipe is shell shaped and traditional sweet prepared in Southern parts of India especially Andhra Pradesh. These type of sweet does not take much time to prepare. They are prepared using all purpose flour (or maida) and sugar with little ghee. They should be stored in air tight container.

Gavvalu Ingredients
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (or maida)
- 3 tsp clarified butter (or ghee)
- A pinch of baking soda
- Oil for deep fry
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 cardamom seeds(optional) for sugar syrup
- 3 tsp water
Method

Take a bowl and add all purpose flour, ghee and a pinch of baking soda in it and mix it well.
Now add water slowly to make little hard dough. Then keep it aside for 15 mins.
Now, take a little dough and make it a ball. Then using the back side of a fork, keep the dough on the fork and press little bit to the opposite direction to give a shape like a shell.
Repeat the same process for all the dough, and keep these shells aside.
Heat oil in a pan, when the oil is hot enough drop the shells in to the oil and fry them in medium heat till light brown color.
Once the shells turn in to light brown color remove from oil and keep them aside.
Now take another pan and add sugar and little water, then let it cook until two string consistency.
Now switch off the flame and add all the shells immediately in to the sugar syrup and mix well. Now transfer these sugar coated shells in to another plate and serve.
Serving Instructions
Serve Gavvalu as a snack or it can be served anytime.
