Garam Masala Potatoes Recipe
Ingredients:
- Potatoes – 250 gms, boiled, peeled
- Garam Masala Powder – 50 gms
- Garlic – 2 cloves
- Sambar Onions – 100 gms, peeled, chopped
- Tomato – 1, chopped
- Ginger – 3/4 tsp, grated
- Black Peppercorns – 1/2 tsp
- Saunf – 1/2 tsp
- Coconut – 1/4 tsp, finely chopped or grated
- Green Chilli – 1
- Oil as required
- Curry Leaves – 2 tsp
- Coriander Leaves – 2 tsp
- Mustard Seeds – little
- Urad Dal – little
Method:
1. Heat little oil in a pan.
2. Add the mustard seeds and urad dal for 30 seconds.
3. Add the onions, green chilli, garam masala powder, curry leaves and tomatoes.
4. Saute well.
5. Grind together the coconut, saunf, garlic, ginger and peppercorns.
6. Add to the pan and mix well.
7. Add the potatoes and stir well to mix.
8. Add a little water and salt.
9. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until moisture has almost evaporated.
10. Remove and serve as a side dish with roti, rice or chapati.
