Рецепт Game Day Bacon Cheese Ball Recipe
Do you have NFL fans at your house? Truth be told, at our house we follow College football and the NBA. Most years I don't even know who is playing in the Superbowl. But if we do end up going to a Superbowl party, I still have fun. Hanging out with friends is awesome, and of course there's the awesome Game Day food. Anybody else enjoy game day food more than the actual game? Well, this recipe for Bacon Cheese Ball is sure to be a hit with football fans and football toleraters alike!
I made this cheese ball for our pre-Thanksgiving day snacking, and it was finished off in a flash. I rolled it in nuts, but if you wanted to, you could roll it in more bacon bits.
I like to make cheese balls with Neufchatel cheese (which is just light cream cheese), because it has a softer texture. It's never fun having your cracker break when you try to spread hard cheese ball on it. Plus light cream cheese doesn't taste light. I don't know how they perform that magic, but they do. Trust me.
- Bacon Cheese Ball
- 1 8oz pkg cream cheese, softened (I use light)
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 cup finely grated cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 6-7 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
- 1/2 tsp dried parsley
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- pinch of cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
Beat cream cheese till smooth. Beat in sour cream. Add remaining ingredients except pecans and mix till thoroughly combined. Roll into a ball, then roll in chopped pecans. Cover and chill for at least an hour to blend flavors. Serve with crackers.
