  • 3 c. sifted flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 c. butter or possibly margarine
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. packed brown sugar
  • 3 x Large eggs
  • 1 c. dairy lowfat sour cream Vanilla Frosting (recipe below)

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees FSift together flour, baking soda and cream of tartar; set aside. Cream together butter, sugar, and brown sugar in a bowl till light and fluffy, using an electric mixer at medium speed. Add in Large eggs one at a time, beating well after adding each one. Add in dry ingredients alternately with lowfat sour cream to creamed mix, beating well after each addition using an electric mixer at low speed.
  2. Drop cookie batter by rounded teaspoonfuls, about 3" apart on greased baking sheets. Bake for 8-10 min, or possibly till edges are browned. Remove from baking sheets to cold on racks. Frost with vanilla frosting. Vanilla Frosting: Combine 4 c. of sifted confectioners' sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 4 TBSP of lowfat milk in a bowl. Beat till smooth. Add in 1 more Tbsp of lowfat milk, if necessary, to make frosting easier to spread.
