Рецепт Fried Gnocchi with Mushrooms and Walnuts, my dogs are fighting!
I like gnocchi.
The fluffy little pillows of potato and flour cook in under two minutes once they hit the boiling water
I like fast and easy.
But I like them fried even better.
Put them right from the boiling water into a hot skillet with olive oil and brown well. The get a wonderful crunchy exterior and are light as air inside.
Try not to eat them right from the skillet….

Remove from heat and stir in olives and feta.
Add Gnocchi, stir briefly and serve.
My little girl dogs have started fighting.
I had been warned by the experts pontificating on the internet that two female dogs are as apt to fight as two male dogs but mine seem to get along so well.
They’re always together…
They groom each other.
If they’re outside sleeping they’re never more than a few inches apart.
Inside they each have their doorways (for the best division of guard duties), but they are still within sight of each other.
They drink out of the same water bowl at the same time and take turns catching if they’re being tossed treats.
They respect each other’s food dishes.
They play-fight all the time.
I did not expect them to start real fighting.
And I think they’re fighting over me.
It’s happened three times in the last few weeks – always the same way.
The dogs are inside the fenced area and I am on the outside working. When I come back to the gate they run to greet me.
Bonnie always pulls on Guapa’s legs. When I come downstairs in the morning Guapa is at the bottom of the stairs, bouncing with excitement. Bonnie is biting at and pulling her hind legs.
So, when I open the gate, Guapa is trying to get my attention and Bonnie is grabbing her hind leg and pulling her away.
Guapa turns around and they run off doing what appears to be the usual play-fighting. All of a sudden Bonnie is on her back snarling and snapping at Guapa who is is growling and biting at Bonnie’s throat.
It’s not play; it’s serious, nasty, vicious fighting….. The kind of fighting that ends up with one or both dogs bleeding and a trip to the vet clinic.
So far they’ve stopped when I’ve yelled NO at them. Not immediately, but withing a few seconds…. They have to do one more snarl each I think.
I can, and I have changed the way I come in the get and talk to them when I’ve been away.
Still….. I’m not happy with this turn of events.
Bonnie is the one that starts it, with the leg pulling, but Guapa seems pretty determined to be the one that finishes it.
As long as they go for each other’s throats they’re pretty safe. They come from a long line of sheep guards with fur around the neck to ward of wolves and bears.
Bare tummies are pretty vulnerable, though…..
