- In a mixing bowl, combine the Large eggs, cream and half of the grand mariner. Whip well. Add in the peach preserves and nutmeg and mix till the preserves blend.
- Place the bread in a casserole in a single layer and pour over the batter. Chill for several hrs.
- Heat a large skillet till warm. Add in the butter and when it is warm add in the soaked bread and brown well on both sides.
- Meanwhile in a sauce pan, add in the peaches, Grand Marnier and syrup. Simmer for 2-3 min. Serve the peach syrup over the French toast.
- Serve at once.
