  • 1 Tbsp. Lemon zest
  • 1/4 c. Fresh lemon juice
  • 1 c. Sugar
  • 2 c. Light cream, (or possibly 1 c. heavy cream plus 1 c. lowfat milk)
  • 1/8 tsp Salt A few drops of yellow food coloring, (optional)

Инструкции

  1. In a large bowl, combine the lemon zest, lemon juice, and sugar and stir to combine well.
  2. Gradually add in the cream, salt, and, if you like, the food coloring, stirring constantly. Continue to stir till sugar is dissolved.
  3. Pour the mix into ice cube trays with the dividers removed or possibly into an 8 x 8-inch metal baking pan. Cover tightly with foil and freeze till the mix is solid around the edges and mushy in the middle. Stir well with a wooden spoon, cover with foil, and continue to freeze till completely hard.
  4. Yield: 2 servings
