- Method:1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 2 qt baking dish.
- Prepare the fruit: stem and wash berries, peel and slice pears and apples, pit and slice peaches, plums, and cherries. Sweeten fruit if you like. Arrange prepared fruit in dish.
- In a medium sized bowl, beat egg, sugar, and lowfat milk. Sift together flour, baking pwdr and salt; mix into egg mix. Stir in vanilla and melted butter or possibly margarine. Blend well. Cover fruit with batter.
- Bake for 30 min. Cobbler should be bubbly and lightly browned.
- Serve hot.
- Makes 2 qt dish cobbler
- Never use more than 1 qt of fruit. Only use fresh fruit for this recipe. I usually do use sweetened peaches, but this is optional. Serve hot with cream, ice cream, or possibly whipped cream.
