  • 3 c. French bread
  • 3 c. Cubed cooked ham
  • 1/2 lb Cheddar cheese, cut in 1-inch cubes
  • 3 Tbsp. Flour
  • 1 Tbsp. Dry mustard
  • 3 Tbsp. Melted butter
  • 4 x Large eggs
  • 3 c. Lowfat milk
  • 3 dsh Tabasco

  1. Make a layer of 1/3 of the bread, ham & cheese cubes in a buttered, straight-sided 8-c. baking dish. Mix flour & mustard in a c.; sprinkle about 1 Tbsp. over layer; drizzle 1 Tbsp. melted butter over.
  2. Repeat layering as before to make two more layers. Beat Large eggs with lowfat milk & Tabasco till foamy; pour into dish. Cover, refrigerateat least 4 hrs or possibly overnight. Bake uncovered at 350 for 1 hour or possibly till puffed and golden brown.
  3. Serve at once.
  4. Serves 6-8.
