- Add 1 packet yeast to warm water. Start with 2 cups flour and mix all ingredients together. Add additional 1 cup flour as needed. Once combined, knead dough 8-10 minutes. Place in greased bowl and cover. Let rise until double in size. Punch down and let rest for 10 minutes.
- Roll into rectangle. Starting at the long end, roll up into loaf (jelly roll style). Grease and dust cookie sheet with corn meal and place bread on top. Let rise a second time 30-40 minutes.
- Pre-heat oven to 375 and cut slits in top of bread. Brush with egg white and water to create brown color. Bake 15 minutes. Let cool slightly before slicing.
