How many of you know that the word Frappuccino is a trademarked name owned by Starbucks. Did you know that you really can’t use that name in your recipe? I know, sad, but true. That’s why I called mine Frappuccino “Style”.

A trademark or service mark includes any word, name, symbol, device, or any combination, used or intended to be used to identify and distinguish the goods/services of one seller or provider from those of others, and to indicate the source of the goods/services. Although federal registration of a mark is not mandatory, it has several advantages, including notice to the public of the registrants’ claim of ownership of the mark, legal presumption of ownership nationwide, and exclusive right to use the mark on or in connection with the goods/services listed in the registration.”

Well, I guess it’s sort of like using the word Band-Aid. Band-Aid is a trademark and a brand. They are actually called “BANDAGES”. Perhaps a symbol of who invested it first?

But, hey, the reality is, I made this incredible” frappe-style” coffee drink that helped me stay buzzed this morning.

Frappuccino Style drinks are fun and easy to make. The word” frappuccino” means blended iced beverage. You can mix and match your additions such as a bit or caramel instead of vanilla bean. Or chocolate milk instead of regular milk. Of course chocolate syrup, almond extract, coconut milk, etc. You get the picture.

Frappuccino Style Coffee

You could probably add an additional 1 teaspoon of sugar into your mug if it’s not sweet enough for you.

Directions

Combine all the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.

Pour into your favorite drinking vessel.

Enjoy.

This is what I absolutely love about making these types of beverages at home is being able to adjust the flavor, sweetness and caffeine.

Just look at the specks of vanilla bean you get from using vanilla bean paste instead of plain old vanilla extract.

The use of brown sugar instead of granulated sugar gives it a richer taste.

What a great way to have an iced coffee as the weather warms up.
