Рецепт Frangelico Truffle Cocktail and a Fundraiser Supporting Animal Welfare and Adoption
by Barbara Kiebel

It’s the holiday season and this year Frangelico® Hazelnut Liqueur is providing an opportunity for us to support an organization that is devoted to the support of animal welfare and pet adoption in the U.S. Chocolatier MarieBelle has partnered with Frangelico to unveil delicious truffles with the decadent taste of Hazelnut Liqueur, combined with rich dark chocolate and layered with notes of vanilla, coffee and almond.

“MarieBelle has established itself as the ‘must-have’ confectioner in New York City, so I can think of no better partner as we team to support a very deserving charity,” said Peter Gyimesi, brand director for Frangelico. “Frangelico has always offered the simple pleasure of hazelnut indulgence and these truffles are the perfect treat, allowing folks to spread the holiday spirit a little further by giving gifts that benefit a cause near and dear to their hearts.”

A portion of the proceeds from the special-edition Frangelico truffle will be donated to Bideawee®, one of the country’s oldest and most respected animal welfare and pet adoption organizations. For more than 100 years, Bideawee has cultivated and supported the life-long relationships between pets and the people who love them.

“We are honored to be collaborating with Frangelico and MarieBelle to help pets and their owners,” said Bideawee President & CEO Nancy Taylor. “By bringing these three great brands together, we can elevate awareness of our commitment to finding forever homes for pets in need throughout this holiday season.”

In keeping with the charitable theme, the chocolates are emblazoned with an adorable custom design of kitten and puppy faces, ideal for dog and cat lovers alike or anyone wanting to give back during this season and beyond (available thru January 2013).

The truffles are best enjoyed with the Frangelico Truffle cocktail, created by leading Spirits Expert James Moreland. In keeping with my own need to mix things up a bit, I’ve taken the liberty of adding a bit of cream to the original cocktail, preferring that little bit extra richness that just seemed so ‘truffleesque’ to me.

On sale for a limited time only, the Frangelico MarieBelle truffles come in a signature red gift box with ribbon, available in 4-piece, 9-piece, 16-piece and 25-piece gift boxes, with prices starting at $15.00. The special edition Frangelico charity truffles will be available at the MarieBelle chocolate boutique in New York City and online at http://www.mariebelle.com from November through January 2013.

Wishing you and yours a Very Merry Christmas!

I was provided with a box of truffles in order to feature them in this post.
