Рецепт Flower Power! - The Floral Bouquet (1st Edition) Limited Gift Line
by Shane "Culinary Alchemist" Wingerd

Though the Floral Bouquet pattern is covered in "the books". I think these dates refer only to the 2nd and 3rd editions of the pattern (1970-1975) at which point a larger selection of pieces were in production. 1st Edition Floral Bouquet, however, was originally released in the fall of 1969 as a Limited Edition Gift line, just like Platinum Filigree (1966), Renaissance (1970) & Nature's Bounty (1971). The 1st Edition Floral Bouquet appears to be a "bridge" from the Platinum Filigree to the Renaissance. It contains 5 pieces, like Renaissance would, while Platinum Filigree only had 4 pieces, but Floral Bouquet incorporated the an Electromatic piece, just as Platinum Filigree's P-80-EP and P-6-EP Percolators. Electromatic were not produced for the Renaissance and Nature's Bounty lines.

As with all of Corning's Limited Edition Gift Lines, only a "limited" selection of pieces were produced. In the case of the 1st Edition of Floral Bouquet, the only pieces manufactured were the 1 1/2 quart (P-1 1/2-B), 1 3/4 quart (P-1 3/4-B), the 2 1/2 quart (P-2 1/2-B) a 9 cup Stove Top Percolator (P-119) and the 10 inch Electromatic Skillet (P-22-B). Just like the other Gift Lines, the Floral Bouquet was sold in a specially designed box.......

The P-2 1/2-B came as Royal Buffet Set with the Chrome Cradle (as P-540)

1st Edition Floral Bouquet started what would become a tradition for Corning's "Limited Edition Gift Lines", the "special" lids. While Renaissance and Nature's Bounty both had pebble textured lids, the 1st Ed. Floral Bouquet had a ceramic knob that literally screwed down onto a threaded stump on the top of the lid.

The lid sizes are equivalent to the standard sizes, but followed by an extra C in their model number. Thus, the P-1 1/2-B and P-1 3/4-B both have a P-7-CC sized lid and the P-2 1/2-B has a P-9-CC sized lid.

The P-22-B appears to have come with a pebble textured P-12-C cover that would be used on all the pieces in the Renaissance and Nature's Bounty lines. Please keep in mind that I purchased this skillet with this lid already on it. To date, this is the only example of the P-22 skillet I have seen, so I am assuming this pebble texture lids is the correct one until I find out otherwise. (it's not like these lids are commonplace)

The matching percolator is a 9 cup (P-119), but besides the linen texture pattern, there appears to be no "Special" changes made to it. (ie. chrome lid, gold plated handle.. blah blah)

Where is your Corning Ware??
