Ингредиенты

  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 c. finely minced onion
  • 1 c. minced celery
  • 3/4 c. sliced carrot rounds
  • 1/2 lb broccoli, separated into small flowerets (about 2-1/4 c.)
  • 3 c. lowfat milk
  • 1 c. (4 ounce.) Dakota Farms cheddar cheese
  • 8 slc French bread, toasted Swiss cheese cut into thin wedges, two for each slice of bread
  • 4 slc bacon, cooked and crumbled

Инструкции

  1. Heat butter in 3-quart. saucepan. Add in onion and celery. Stir and cook 5 min. Add in carrots, broccoli and broth. Cover, bring to a boil, then turn to simmer and cook for 15 min or possibly till vegetables are tender.
  2. Add in lowfat milk, bring to a simmer. Add in cheese, stirring till melted. Pour soup into a casserole. Float bread slices on top of soup and cover each with two wedges of Dakota Farms Swiss cheese. Place under broiler for 2 to 3 min till the cheese melts and turns a delicate brown.
  3. Sprinkle with crumbed bacon and serve.
