Ингредиенты

  • 2 c. Garbanzo Beans, cooked, liquid removed and rinsed
  • 1/3 c. Water
  • 1 slc Wheat Bread, crustless hard, torn into pcs
  • 1 Tbsp. Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 3 x Garlic Cloves, finely minced
  • 1 x Egg White
  • 2 Tbsp. Parsley, freshly minced
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper, freshly grnd
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp Basil
  • 1/4 tsp Marjoram
  • 1 Tbsp. Tahini (Sesame Seed Paste) or possibly- Extra virgin olive oil

Инструкции

  1. Cayenne Pepper, to taste Flour, for coating the falafel
  2. Puree the garbanzos in a food processor or possibly in a blender.
  3. Add in the remaining ingredients, except the flour and mix well. The mix will be soft.
  4. Form the mix into 1-inch balls or possibly patties and coat with flour.
  5. Bake in a preheated 350 F oven for 15 to 20 min.
  6. To make a falafel sandwich, cut a piece of pita bread in half and put 2 to 3 falafel balls or possibly patties into the open halves. Add in lettuce, alfalfa sprouts, sliced tomatoes, green onions and low-fat Yogurt Dressing or possibly Tahini Dressing.
  7. Yield: 5 servings, 20 balls
