Ингредиенты

  • 4 Tbsp. Creole or possibly whole grain mustard
  • 8 slc French bread - (1/4" thick)
  • 1/4 lb Mortadella sausage thinly sliced
  • 1/4 lb Genoa salami thinly sliced
  • 1/4 lb Provolone cheese thinly sliced
  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 1/4 c. heavy cream Salt to taste Freshly-grnd white pepper to taste
  • 4 Tbsp. butter

  1. Smear the mustard on half of the bread slices. Layer each with the cheese and sausages, then top with the second half of the slices. Press together slightly.
  2. In a shallow mixing bowl, whisk the Large eggs and cream together. Whisk well. Season with salt and pepper. Heat 2 Tbsp. of the butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Dip 2 of the sandwiches into the egg mix, coating proportionately. Fry in the butter till golden, 2 to 3 min on each side. Remove from the pan. Serve hot. Repeat the process with the remaining butter and sandwiches.
  3. This recipe yields 4 servings.
