Рецепт Eggs....
by Sid's Sea Palm Cooking

I like to read a large variety of stuff on the net, and while a lot of it isn't food related the following article caught my eye. Gee, what a surprise. It was all about eggs, and how some cultures prepare them. Round the world in 80 Eggs

I like eggs, and I make them in a variety of ways, but I'm always up for a new way of serving them.

Think about it, what is easier and faster than frying up a couple of eggs? I mean, really easy and quick and nutritious to boot. And the preparation methods, well, let me just say that maybe the potato can be prepared in as many different ways, but eggs, well, they're just plain good.

You can poach, scramble, hard cook, soft cook, fry, deep fry, and coddle eggs. And I'm sure I missed a few.

You can top eggs with various sauces, make appetizers with them,

serve them on top of a salad for breakfast, make an easy dinner with them.

Eggs in Mustard Sauce The mind runneth over with ideas. Heck, if you're Danish like I am, you've probably even made Røre æg, which is an egg yolk stirred together with an incredible amount of sugar. This was a big treat when I was growing up and a once in a very great while treat even now. Well, maybe once every five ten years or so, cause it really is that sweet. I saw a version of this on My Danish Kitchen site, Gitte called it æggesnaps, and it is similar to what we used to eat. I remember begging my mother to let us make this, and then not being able to eat more than maybe half of it, mainly cause it was soooooo sweet.

A favourite meal for me growing up was Æggekage and I have to admit it still is. Really, I'm happy to just eat them alongside a nice salad for dinner.

And then of course you can always pop a nicely poached egg on top of some lovely mixed greens and serve them that way. I love Breakfast Salad. The yolk runs down into the salad and mixes with the dressing and adds a lovely nuance to the salad.

I'm not forgetting some of my favourite Mexican breakfast dishes either here. Nothing like Huevos Ranchero's

or Peggy's Paparitos

even a nice Breakfast Burrito made with Chorizo, scrambled eggs and cheese.

Spice is nice.

Of course there is always a nice Nasi Goreng, hmmmm, haven't made that in years, I think I have an idea for another dish to make soon.
