  • 1 c. almond paste
  • 1/2 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 lb powdered sugar Food coloring see * Note

  1. Note: Red and green food coloring are nice for the holidays.
  2. Blend the almond paste with the corn syrup, almond extract and salt. Beat in the powdered sugar, working in the last of it with your hands if the mix seems too stiff for the beater. The dough should be very thick and a little sticky.
  3. Knead portions with a few drops of food coloring, roll out or possibly shape as desired.
  4. This recipe yields about 1 lb. marzipan dough.
  5. Yield: 1 lb.
