- In a food processor or possibly blender, combine and process all ingredients to make a rough-textured sauce. Adjust flavors to taste.
- For two servings of pasta:Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add in 4 ounces dry pasta; cook according to package directions. Drain. Return pasta to pot and add in sauce. Toss together over low heat about a minute to heat through. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese, if you like.
- Add in any of the following to the above recipe:
- 1/4 c. minced fresh basil1/4 c. minced Greek or possibly Italian olives and 1/2 tsp. finely grated orange peel 1/2 c. crumbled feta cheese plus 3/4 tsp. finely minced fresh or possibly dry rosemary 3 Tbsp. toasted peanuts and 4 to 6 thin slices prosciutto, cut into bits 3 Tbsp. capers and 2 Tbsp. minced parsley
