Easy Cheese Danish

  • Pastry:
  • 2 cans crescent rolls
  • Filling:
  • 1 8 ounce package cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 3/4 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. sour cream
  • Topping:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 TBS. milk
  • 1 TBS. butter softened

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Place a sheet of parchment paper on a baking pan
  3. Open the can of crescent rolls carefully so as not to tear the dough. Leave the roll in it's clyndrical shape and slice into 1/4 inch slices, place on top of the parchment paper.
  4. Make an indentention in the middle of each slice for he cream cheese filling.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, mix together the cream cheese, sugar, lemon juice, vanilla, and sour cream. Add a dollop of the mixture to the indention to each circle of dough. I find that about 1 tablespoon works well, but you can use as little or much as you like.
  6. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. While the pastries are baking, make the icing to drizzle over the top...
  7. When the pastries are done, let them cool before drizzling the icing over the top...
