- Heat oil in a pot, when it is smoking hot, drop the dried squid into the pot and dip fry for few seconds to 1 minute.
- Remove from wok, drain then set aside.
- In a separate sauce pan, heat oil and then add the garlic. Sauté until garlic turns into light brown.
- Add the tomato sauce, brown sugar and chili powder. Stir continuously until the sauce has been dissolved and thickened.
- Add the plain flour and stir well to combine. Stir cook for another about another minute and then add the fried dried squid.
- Continue stirring until the fried dried squid absorbed all the sauce.
- Serve.
