Spiked and then spiked again these Double Chocolate Vodka Baked Doughnuts are studded with vodka infused strawberries.
- Chocolate Vodka Baked Doughnuts
- FOR THE INFUSED STRAWBERRIES
- 1 sterilized quart jar
- about a pound strawberries, stems removed
- ¾ cup double chocolate vodka
- FOR THE DOUGHNUTS
- 4 vodka infused strawberries, chopped
- 1¾ cups Bisquick
- 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
- 1 egg
- ⅛ cup buttermilk
- enough vodka from the infused strawberries to equal ⅔ cup combined with the buttermilk
- TO INFUSE THE STRAWBERRIES
- Poke holes into the strawberries to soak up the vodka
Add the berries to the jar.
Fill with the vodka.
Seal and refrigerate for 1 to 24 hours.
FOR THE DOUGHNUTS
Heat oven to 425°F.
Spray doughnut pan with cooking spray.
In medium bowl, mix all doughnut ingredients with spoon until blended.
Add the chopped strawberries
Spoon batter into pan
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Remove doughnuts from pan to cooling rack; cool 5 minutes.
I frosted mine with marshmallow fluff and sprinkles.

Our spiked ingredient was Chocolate Vodka. My first recipe that I created, which you will get to see tomorrow, I didn’t read the rules until after I created the dish. There was this little part that stated the vodka had to be baked. So, I had to come up with something else.
What do you all think of my crazy concoction?
