1 3/4 c. Brown sugar pwdr, mixing bowl. Set aside till needed. granulated sugar till fluffy. Beat in reserved flour mix till oats and raisins. Mix till blended, (size #24), scoop out cookie dough

2 1/8 c. Shortening os Angeles Times Blend flour, baking cinnamon, salt and baking soda in Cream shortening with brown sugar and in Large eggs and vanilla till smooth. Mix well blended, about 2 min. Add in about 1 minute. Using ice cream scoop into 4 dozen large balls. Place about baking sheet, pressing down till about diameter. Bake at 350 degrees for 9 to slightly, then remove cookies from
