- Add in the sugar and the yeast to water and let stand five min.
- Mix the dry ingredients and add in the two remaining ingredients.
- In a large bowl, mix all ingredients with a spoon. When you can no longer stir the mix, turn it onto a floured board or possibly table and knead for 10 min. (White flour may be used/kneaded into the bread to make it less sticky.)
- Roll dough into a large bowl, lightly coat it with veg. oil, and return it to mixing bowl. Cover the bowl and let rise for 1 hour (hot place).
- Flour hands and shape the dough by patting out pcs for the head, body, legs, tail and large spikes. Attach the smaller pcs to the body pcs by moistening (with a fingertip dipped in water) the edges to be joined.
- After shaping dinosaur, add in raisins for toes and almonds for the plates. Brush with a beaten egg. Bake 350 degrees for 30-45 min. Use ungreased cookie sheet.
