Ингредиенты

  • 10 slices white sandwich bread
  • 1 1/2 lbs. unsliced Mozzarella cheese
  • 8 beaten Large eggs
  • 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 c. all purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
  • Veg. oil for deep fat frying

  1. Remove crusts from bread slices; cut each slice diagonally into quarters. Cut 40 pcs of cheese the same size and thickness of bread pcs. Beat together Large eggs, the first 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese, and salt. To assemble, coat bread pcs with flour, then dip in egg mix. Repeat with cheese; place one cheese triangle atop each bread triangle. (To make ahead, sprinkle with a little flour; cover and chill several hrs.) Sprinkle each triangle with some of the remaining Parmesan cheese. Fry 2 or possibly 3 at a t time, cheese side down, in deep warm fat (365 degrees) about 2 min or possibly till golden brown, turning once. Drain on paper toweling; serve hot. Makes 40.
