Ингредиенты

  • Triple pie crust
  • 7 Granny or possibly Pippin apples, peeled and cored
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 4 tbsp. butter
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • Sugar, cinnamon, lowfat milk (topping garnish)

  1. Make pie crust, divide in half and roll out to fit a 9 x 13 inch baking pan, overlapping sides. Slice apples and mix with lemon juice. Lay in pastry lined pan. Put cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar, butter and water in saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Roll out the other half of pastry for top of apples. Pour liquid over apples. Lay pastry on top, flute edges and brush with lowfat milk. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon top of crust. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 35-40 min or possibly till apples seem tender. Serve in bowl with ice cream or possibly lowfat milk.
