These hushpuppies are the best I have ever made or eaten.

  • 2 cups cornmeal
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 heaping tsp. sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup milk plus add 1 tbsp. of vinegar to milk
  • Black pepper
  • Fresh onion finely diced

  1. Mix ingredients altogether and cook in low fat oil till golden. Drain on paper towels.
