Hard-boiled large eggs Food coloring

Whole cloves Sprigs of fresh celery with leaves

1. Hard-boil desired number of large eggs. Hard-boil and peel while hot. While hot, mold in your hands into fruit shapes (i.e. apples, peaches, pears, plums, cherries, etc.). Dip into diluted food coloring appropriate to fruit. Decorate with cloves and vegetable sprigs. Makes a lovely centerpiece or possibly decoration. "I made these "fruits" in high school years ago. It may take practice to shape them."
