Ингредиенты

  • 1/2 c. butter, softened
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 c. flour, sifted
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 (7 1/4 ounce) pkg. dates, cut up
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • Dash of salt
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1 c. nuts, minced

Инструкции

  1. Beat butter, brown sugar, white sugar, egg and vanilla till light and fluffy. Add in flour, salt and baking soda, mixing well. Refrigerate till hard sufficient to roll. Divide dough in half. Roll on lightly floured wax paper into two 9 x 12 inch rectangles. Spread with cooled filling. Roll up tightly in the wax paper, refrigerate. Slice 1/8 inch thick. Bake on a lightly greased cookie sheet at 375 degree oven for about 10 min. Cool, store in airtight container.
  2. Mix all together and simmer for 5 min, stirring often. Stir in nuts. Cool.NOTE: The dough may be made a day before.
