%20but%20I%20enjoy%20doing%20it.%20%20I%20also%20see%20it%20as%20a%20way%20to%20trap%20them%20into%20spending%20time%20with%20me%20(bwaaaahaaahaaahaaaha)%20(evil%20laugh....hard%20to%20convey%20via%20typing).%20%20I%20can%20usually%20get%20them%20to%20help%20me%20because%20they%20really%20want%20to%20eat%20these%20baked%20yummies.%20%20It%20doesn't%20matter%20that%20I%20go%20to%20school%20full%20time,%20have%20homework,%20have%20a%20job%20and%20occasionally%20need%20to%20sleep%20(let's%20face%20it....I%20don't%20sleep).....I%20always%20make%20time%20to%20bake%20for%20my%20boys.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhat%20was%20my%20point?%20%20Uh%20oh...senior%20moment....%20%20Oh%20yes....so....today%20Max%20came%20to%20me%20and%20asked%20if%20I%20could%20make%20homemade%20golden%20oreos%20or%20milano%20cookies.%20%20I%20decided%20these%20were%20the%20easiest%20to%20master%20in%20a%20day....I'm%20not%20sure%20what%20the%20heck%20a%20golden%20oreo%20is.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20dough%20is%20easy%20to%20make%20and%20easy%20to%20pipe.%20%20Make%20them%20any%20size%20you%20like%20but%20they%20really%20spread%20and%20flatten%20so%20I%20would%20just%20make%20a%20little%201%201/2%20inch%20long%20log.%20%20You%20don't%20need%20to%20flatten%20it%20or%20do%20anything%20to%20it,%20these%20spread%20on%20their%20own%20in%20the%20oven.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWatch%20them%20closely%20so%20they%20don't%20brown%20too%20much%20around%20the%20edges.%20%20Then%20allow%20them%20to%20cool%20completely%20before%20you%20make%20little%20sandwiches%20with%20your%20delicious%20ganache.%20%20These%20were%20for%20my%20kids%20but%20if%20they%20were%20for%20an%20adult%20get%20together,%20I%20would%20have%20added%20a%20liqueur%20to%20the%20ganache....maybe%20a%20tablespoon%20of%20grand%20marnier.%20YUM!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDark%20Chocolate%20Milano%20Cookies%20adapted%20from%20Gale%20Gand%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMakes%203%20dozen%20cookies%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECookies:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECream%20the%20butter%20with%20a%20paddle%20attachment%20then%20mix%20in%20the%20sugar.%20Add%20the%20egg%20whites%20gradually%20and%20then%20mix%20in%20the%20vanilla%20extract.%20Add%20the%20flour%20and%20mix%20until%20just%20incorporated.%20With%20a%20small%20(1/4-inch)%20plain%20tip,%20pipe%201%201/2-inch%20sections%20of%20batter%20onto%20a%20parchment-lined%20sheet%20pan,%20spacing%20them%202%20inches%20apart%20as%20they%20spread.%20Bake%20in%20a%20preheated%20325%20degree%20oven%20for%2010%20minutes%20or%20until%20light%20golden%20brown%20around%20the%20edges.%20Let%20cool%20on%20the%20pan.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGanache:%20In%20a%20small%20saucepan%20over%20medium%20flame,%20scald%20cream.%20Pour%20hot%20cream%20over%20chocolate%20in%20a%20bowl.%20Whisk%20to%20melt%20chocolate.%20Set%20aside%20to%20cool%20(the%20mixture%20will%20thicken%20as%20it%20cools).%20Spread%20a%20thin%20amount%20of%20the%20filling%20onto%20the%20flat%20side%20of%20a%20cookie%20while%20the%20filling%20is%20still%20soft%20and%20press%20the%20flat%20side%20of%20a%20second%20cookie%20on%20top.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEnjoy!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EShared%20on:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWine'd%20Down%20Wednesday%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
