Ингредиенты

  • 3/4 c. cornmeal
  • 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp onion pwdr
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp grnd white pepper
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. minced fresh parsley
  • 1 x egg white
  • 2/3 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 tsp warm sauce
  • 4 lrg carrots, scraped and cut into thin strips Vegetable oil

Инструкции

  1. Combine first 7 ingredients, set aside. Beat egg white till foamy; stir in buttermilk and warm sauce. Dip carrot in buttermilk mix; drain off excess mix and dredge in cornmeal mix. Pour oil to depth of 1 inch into a Dutch oven; heat to 350 degrees F. Fry carrots 2 min or possibly till lightly browned. Serve immediately.
  2. Yield: 4 servings.
