- Place 2 c. lowfat milk and salt in a saucepan. Sprinkle sugar on lowfat milk and Don't stir; heat over Medium-High. Quickly combine cornstarch with remaining lowfat milk; add in egg yolks and mix well. When lowfat milk comes to a full boil, remove from heat and stir in cornstarch mix. Pudding will begin to thicken.
- Return to heat; cook for 1 minute. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and butter. Pour into dishes. Serve hot.
