1 sm. onion, finely minced or possibly grated
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

2 tbsp. white wine
1 tbsp. wine vinegar
2 tbsp. fresh bacon drippings (optional)
6 slices bacon, cooked crisp and liquid removed
