  • 1/2 c. Butter or possibly Margarine, Softened
  • 8 ounce Cream Cheese, Softened
  • 1/4 c. Fresh parsley, Minced
  • 1 tsp Dry Basil
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 8 ounce Angel Hair Pasta, (Or possibly Thin Spaghetti)
  • 1 x Clove Garlic, Peeled and Crushed
  • 1/2 c. Butter or possibly Margarine
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan Cheese, Freshly Grated
  • 2/3 c. Water, boiling
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan Cheese, Freshly Grated

  1. Today's recipe is a simple pasta side dish which makes a perfect replacement for what would be a ho-hum serving of mashed potatoes. The flavor creamy garlic flavor complements most chicken and beef main courses and only takes about 20-min to prepare!

  3. In a small mixing bowl beat 1/2 c. soft butter or possibly margarine and cream cheese together till well blended. Stir in parsley, basil, salt and pepper. Set aside.
  4. Cook pasta in plenty of boiling water till al dente. Drain and return to cooking pot. Cook garlic slowly in the second 1/2 c. butter or possibly margarine for about 2-min, while the pasta is cooking. Add in to the cooked pasta and toss together with 2 forks over low heat till very warm. Remove from heat and add in 1/2 c. parmesan cheese, then toss again. Turn mix out onto a serving plate and keep warm.
  5. Add in boiling water to cream cheese mix and blend well. Pour over pasta and sprinkle with the additional 1/2 c. parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
