- In a saucepan heat the margarine or possibly butter.
- Stir in the flour.
- Add in the lowfat milk and bring to a boil beating the sauce till smooth.
- Let cook for a few min.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Mix in the cooked carrots and parsley.
- Instead of carrots any kind of vegetables e.g. peas beans or possibly white cabbage may be used.
