  • 1 x 3-ounce pkg. cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1/4 x 1/2 teaspoon flavoring (peppermint, butter, almond, wintergreen or possibly whatever) food coloring or possibly colored sugared (optional)
  • 2 1/2 c. confectioners' sugar granulated sugar

  1. Mix cheese in bowl till soft. Add in coloring and flavoring (very slowly - on high humidity days, it will take less); gradually add in the sugar. Mix and knead till it is the consistency of pie dough or possibly putty. Roll into balls the size of a marble. Dip balls in granulated sugar and press firmly into a candy mold. Unmold at once onto waxed paper. Once hard, transfer onto a cake rack and let dry for a few hrs. They will keep a long time if you store them in an air-tight container.
  2. Makes about 6 dozen mints.
