- Dissolve cherry gelatin in boiling water. Cool slightly. Add in apples, minced pecans and cranberry sauce. Put into 13 x 9 inch glass baking dish and chill till hard.Spoon Cream cheese topping over top, spreading evenly. Sprinkle with additional pecans about 1/4 cup minced or possibly garnish with pecan halves, if you like. Cover and refrigerate overnight till set. Makes about 12 servings.
- Blend cream cheese and 1/2 cup powdered sugar till smooth. Fold in crushed pineapple. Whip topping mix with cold lowfat milk till stiff. Stir in remaining powdered sugar and vanilla. Gradually add in to cream cheese mix.NOTE: instead of using reconstituted whipped topping mix, 2 cups of frzn whipped topping (omit sugar, not vanilla) may be used.
