Рецепт Cookie Nookie Chocolate Banana Bars
These Cookie Nookie Chocolate Banana Bars are inspired by banana bread and are packed with ripe bananas, peanut butter and other flavorful ingredients.
- Cookie Nookie Banana Brownies
- ¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ¼ cup Cookie Nookie Peanut Butter (PB Crave brand)
- ⅔ cup brown sugar, packed
- 6 Tablespoons butter, softened
- 2 bananas, medium ripe
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ⅓ cup chocolate chips (I used the Spring package)
- ¼ cup sliced almonds
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Spray an 8 x 8 baking pan with non-stick spray
Heat chocolate chips over a double boiler on low heat until melted. Stir chips.Remove from heat. Add the peanut putter. Set aside to cool a little bit.
Measure flour and baking powder in a separate bowl.
Cream butter, sugar and bananas together.
Add vanilla and eggs.
Gradually add the chocolate chips peanut butter mixture. Mix together.
Gradually add dry ingredients to creamed ingredients.
Mix just until combined.
Pour into prepared pan. Smooth.
Sprinkle with sliced almonds and the chocolate chips
Bake for 30 minutes. Cool. Cut into bars.

A little bit of this and a little bit of that.
Sometimes it just fun to throw a bunch of ingredients into a pan and end up with a fantastic dessert.
It reminds me of how my mom would make bread pudding. But when I was a little girl, the words bread and pudding did not go together at all. Like water and oil. I wouldn’t eat mom’s bread pudding.
Somehow I get the feeling she would eat these bars. It’s payback I guess.
But they were good and fun to make too.
