Cole Slaw

A really good and easy recipe from an old recipe book of my grandmother's. I'll update with a photo when I have one. It looks like traditional cole slaw.

  • 1 head cabbage
  • 3 carrots
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 1/4 c. evaporated milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4. tsp celery seed
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar, mixed with mayonnaise

  1. There were no directions with this recipe in the cookbook. However, after grating the cabbage and carrots, you would stir in remaining ingredients and chill for several hours, or overnight.
