- Sprinkle beef with salt and pepper. Heat butter with 1/4 c. of the extra virgin olive oil in large pan. Add in beef and cook till medium-rare, about 20 min. Cold for at least 3 hrs in the refrigerator.
- Add in extra virgin olive oil, basil, tomato and garlic to a bowl. Mix and let sit for at least 30 min. Slice steak as thin as possible and serve with tomato sauce.
- This recipe yields 8 servings.
