- Butter and flour a loaf pan, 9x5. Cream butter and add in sugar slowly. Continue beating till mix is smooth and creamy. Add in Large eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add in the bourbon.
- Sift the flour, coffee pwdr, spices baking pwdr, and salt together. Add in these about 1/3 at a time, alternately with the lowfat milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake in a 325 degree oven for about 75 min or possibly till the cake is springy to the touch and begins to shrink from the sides of the pan. Cold for 10 minutes on a wire rack, then turn out to cold completely.
- note: 1/2 c. finely grnd nuts may be added to this cake. In which case, put them to soak in the bourbon at the start, and add in the two together.
