Рецепт Coconut Rice / Thengai Sadam
COCONUT RICE | THENGAI SADAM
Coconut rice , a traditional recipe which can be prepared in few mins and also with very few ingredients.My mom used to prepare variety of rices, for lunch but I don't get the time to prepare all of them.Here comes a simple coconut rice.
For this recipe you need
1 cup of rice
1 cup of grated coconut.
For seasoning
- 1 tsp. of mustard and urad dhal
- 1tsp. of channa dal
- 2 -3 green chillies
- 1/2 cup of roasted Peanuts
A sprig of curry leaves
Preparation
Cook the rice and keep it aside to cool.
Heat oil in a pan, Add the mustard seeds, when they stop spluttering add the urad dhal and curry leaves.
Split and add the green chillies and saute it until you get a rich fragrance.
Add the channa dal and fry until it turns golden brown . Add the roasted peanut , saute for a min.
Now add the grated coconut along with salt. And mix it gently in a low flame.
Remove the mixture from the stove , add the rice and mix well.
Coconut rice/ Thengai Sadam is ready to be served.......
Serve it hot with Potato curry ,Raw Banana(vazhakkai) curry or potato chips and enjoy :)
